In addition to being an artist, I’m a passionate advocate for gender equality. Years ago, I learned that more women die from heart disease each year than men due to stunning gender inequality in the research and treatment of women with heart disease. Because of this, I co-founded a non-profit organization, the Women’s Heart Alliance, in partnership with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Our work focuses on improving diagnosis and treatment of women with heart disease and advocating for policy changes to increase research and funding for women’s heart disease. Your support is critical to savings the lives of so many women we love—our mothers, daughters, sisters, wives and friends.
